The foundation of the subsidiary company of  Schiffbau-Versuchsanstalt Potsdam GmbH in the year 2004 was a reaction to the increasing demands of the industry on complex and comprehensive engineering services that require a large amount of subcontracting. Beside their own employees the complete staff and all testing facilities of Schiffbau-Versuchsanstalt Potsdam GmbH are available to SVAtech GmbH.
