SVA Potsdam

The group of companies Potsdam Model Basin (SVA) operates worldwide as a service provider in the field of ship hydrodynamics. Since its foundation in 1953, SVA has contributed to solving industrially relevant research challenges and has been supporting the development of industrial products to safeguard and improve the competitive capability of its customers. To this end, SVA runs test facilities of international standard and uses highly developed software for numerical simulations.

While the non-profit-making Schiffbau-Versuchsanstalt Potsdam GmbH has a large contribution of own and funded research activities, the SVAtech GmbH is solely committed to commercial projects.
